In the days when our square was surrounded by trees, it was the place where all the local children gathered to gleefully disappear into the foliage. Swinging and clambering up the trunk, all heading for the top. I still remember the glowing pride we felt whenever we reached a higher branch. A sign that we were up to every challenge. No tree was too high for us.
Bart Vollebregt is a typographic designer from Honselersdijk, who is currently studying graphic design at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht.
